Question: How do we classify diabetic retinopathy?
Answer: Diabetic retinopathy is classically described by the presence or absence of neovascularization. Most diabetics have NPDR (non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy) that can progress to the more dangerous PDR (proliferative diabetic retinopathy).
