Question: What is pseudostrabismus?

Answer: This is when you have the “illusion” that the eyes are out of alignment, but they actually are normal. This is a common appearance in young children who can have prominant epicanthal folds at the medial edge of the eyelid. This creates an appearance where less white sclera is visible, such that eyes looked turned inwards.
