Question: Which method of retinal examination gives the most magnified view?

Answer: The most magnified retinal view is with the handheld direct ophthalmoscope, the device found in most medical clinics in the country. The problem, is that you get SUCH a magnified view, it’s hard to focus and understand what you’re seeing.

The widest field of view is with the headmounted indirect ophthalmoscope.
