Question: Which orbital bone is most likely to fracture with blunt orbital trauma?
Answer: The orbital floor, the maxillary bone, is the most common orbital fracture. These floor-fractures are quite common. With any floor fracture, you should check the eye movement to rule out restriction (muscles and tissue can get trapped in the trap-door), V2 facial sensation (the nerve runs along the floor of the orbit), and measure for enophthalmos (a sunken-in eyeball).
